Our vision about an ethic and sustainable production is at the heart of our business. We strive to create great products in a kind and sustainable way. If you buy a product from us you should feel reassured that it will do no harm to the ones around you.
As many others we are not fans of the Fast-fashion business that thrives today. By creating products of high quality we want to encourage a “less waste” mindset where products are used over and over again, passed down to family, friends and even through to future generations.
By listening to our customers, and taking all your concerns seriously, our product range is ever evolving, getting safer and more durable all the time. We also have a open working environment were all of our employees can help further our brand and our products.
Neither people nor the environment should have to suffer because we want to make beautiful products. An example of our environmental commitment is that all our textile products are OEKO-Tex Standard 100 Certified and manufactured in Portugal, a country with a long tradition of quality textiles and craftsmanship.
OEKO-Tex Standard 100 is a worldwide consistent, independent testing and certification system for textiles and accessories. If you want to find out more about the certification you can read more at oeko-tex.com.
If a textile article carries the STANDARD 100 label, you can be certain that every component of this article, i.e. every thread, button and other accessories, has been tested for harmful substances and that the article therefore is harmless in human ecological terms. — OEKO-TEX®
For us it is very important that every individual who take part in making our products have good working conditions, good salaries and benefits we see as mandatory such as maternity leave, sick leave and holidays.
It is for us a privilege to work with suppliers where a great working environment and policy towards employees, as well as the environment, is a given.
We aim to have the majority of our production in the EU where regulations control the working environment and where we can easily go and check the facilities.
To produce within Europe means not only a closeness to production and our suppliers, but also a smaller carbon imprint in regards to manufacturing and shipping.
Our Textile suppliers have all their accessory suppliers (ribbons, labels, embroidery) within a 200 km range of the main factory. Our German producer of wood products have the same philosophy but with a 300 km range for both wood and leather.
When a shipment is dispatched it takes about 7 days by road to reach us, instead of the 30+ days it takes by boat, and all that entitles for both humans and environment, if you produce in Asia.
Some of our products such as our plastic spoons and tableware are made in Sweden, where our company is founded and located. Having production here allows us to work even closer to the producer in development and lower the distance our product ultimately has traveled in its lifetime, making it a more environmentally friendly product.
We also hope that by supporting local producers we can secure a Swedish production in the future. If you search for Made in Sweden on our website you will find all the products that we make here.
