Today we have one more amazing way to refresh old baked goods to reduce the food waste, and also have some absolutely delicious treats. This silly easy recipe from Fridas Bakblogg lets you give old Cinnamon Buns a new life in the form of hard biscuits.
All you need is some leftover buns and an oven!
1. Set the oven to 100°C over/under heat and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. 2. Cut the cinnamon buns into approx. 1 cm wide slices. 3. Spread them out on the sheet and let them dry in the middle of the oven for approx. 1,5-2 hours and turn them over when half of the time has passed. That's it - Let cool and enjoy!
Tip!
You can use just about any buns for this recipe, we highly recommend using any leftover Saffron buns, although we know that they rarely are any left after Christmas. If you store your biscuits in an airtight jar in a cool and dry place they can be kept for at least a month.
